We are dedicated to improving your college student’s overall health and well-being and to empowering your student to take ownership of their health at the end of this transformative journey.
Dr. Bernard Kruger and Dr. Emily Kuo started discussing the creation of a personalized medical program for college students when Dr. Kruger’s daughter experienced, first-hand, the shortcomings of the university health system in the Fall of 2019. Further, Dr. Kuo recalled needing additional and significant support when she caught mono as a junior in college. In a twist of fate, the covid pandemic re-defined the healthcare landscape and set the stage for this conversational idea to take shape. Dr. Kruger discussed the idea with Geoffrey Kanter, our business partner and a long-time family friend, and Campus MedShield became a reality.
At Campus MedShield, our core mission is to provide college students with personalized, high-quality, and timely medical services supported by innovative digital technology and round-the-clock access to licensed physicians and national laboratories while they transition from childhood to adult independence. We provide parents with the peace of mind to know that they have a partner in Campus MedShield who cares as much about their college student’s health as they do. As we establish a physician-patient relationship with your college student, we look to empower your student to take ownership of their own health.
